The showroom coverage this month is filled with firsts. One French atelier made a big splash in the States from flagship debuts to brick and mortar introductions. BOH has put together a November roundup that includes all of the openings and expansions you should be aware of.
SPOTLIGHT: EMBLEM’S AMERICAN ARRIVAL
One brand will be making its U.S. debut this month with a New York location that pays tribute to its French roots. Emblem, a Paris-based atelier, has opened a space at 171 Spring Street. It will showcase French craftsmanship through four prominently featured brands.
Martin Pietri, the Emblem founder, curated the showroom. It pays homage to the classic French indoor-outdoor garden. Anne Pericchi Draeger designed the space. It features furnishings that complement Emblem’s brands and continue the flora/fauna theme. For example, the Zuber wallpaper has Virginia creepers, birds, and flowers. Condiment carpet, on the other hand, has a banana-leaf pattern. Emblem, a Frenchman Pietri has known since its inception, has settled in the U.S. atelier of Alain Ellouz.
Pietri says, “At both the beginning and end, it’s an adventure of friendship.” His products are of the same quality as ours. Although they are different products, we have the same customer base, so it’s a win-win situation for both of us. ”
Pietri has been a prominent figure in the French design scene for a long time. He is a product of one of the most prestigious cabinetmaking families in the country and was awarded the National Order of Merit by the French government to preserve the craft. He aims to carry on that tradition within the city’s renowned design community by opening the New York showroom. Pietri says, “It’s an inheritance for me. I try to carry this history for Emblem over the sea.” “Coming to New York was a very, very significant step in my business’s history. ”
Roche Bobois, an international luxury furniture brand, has opened a showroom in Scottsdale. The 6,900-square-foot showroom is located in Scottsdale’s downtown at 4545 N. Scottsdale Road. Jacqueline Hopfer (head of interior architecture) designed the space. She used stone tiling and large planters to create warm lighting throughout.
Kalon Studios in Los Angeles has opened its first physical showroom. Kalon Studios’ new showroom and office will be located in a 2,000-square foot location. It will also serve as a community space for workshops, panels, events, and other community activities. The area was created with an organic approach to design. It will highlight materials such as wood, metals, and linen. This is a crucial feature of Kalon’s design philosophy.
Hive Collective opened a new to-the-trade showroom at 2218 South Dixie Highway, West Palm Beach. The museum covers 7,000 square feet and features Hickory Chair furniture and textiles, trim, wallpaper, and fabric from 28 different vendors.
Arte has renovated its boutique in the Jeffrey Michaels showroom at Hollywood’s South Florida Design Park. This was done to make room for the brand’s new luxury wallcoverings. Designer-oriented custom displays, workspaces, and experiences are all available in the redesigned space. An interactive presentation system and sample system also provide designers with a laboratory for project development.
ENNE, a global design brand, has opened a showroom in Miami Design District. The new space will showcase the brand’s products as well as full-scope design services. The museum, which spans 4,000 square feet, is located at 921 NE 2nd Avenue. It will be open to residential and commercial designers and consumers interested in contemporary high-end design.
Phillip Jeffries opened a new Chicago showroom on The Mart’s sixth floor. It features sampling technology and dedicated concierge staff. The space measures 1,900 square feet and includes various wallcoverings, over 400 display boards, and private areas for designers.
Atelier Gary Lee announced that it would close its Chicago location at the Merchandise Mart to concentrate on its custom furniture design business, ChaiMing Studios. This space was built more than ten decades ago. It will be closing its doors permanently at year’s end.
Brickworks North America launched a new studio in Baltimore to serve the needs of homeowners, architects, and designers throughout the mid-Atlantic. The 3,300-square-foot studio is located in Baltimore’s historic Fells Point neighborhood. It will provide expert consultations, industry events, and displays of premium products such as Venetian glass and unique brick.
Caminiti Associates Inc. (CAI), Designs, has moved into the Michigan Design Center, Troy, Michigan. The 22,000-square-foot Suite 82 was formerly the R.J. Thomas showroom space that Bob and Alane Thomas owned. CAI Designs will be representing brands such as Century and Vanguard, Lee Industries, and Bernhardt.
Hester Bleu Detroit, the Michigan Design Center, has also opened a new showroom at Suite 29. The space is managed by Tam Goodwyn, a designer, and owner. It offers a carefully curated selection, including objets-d’art and Parisian classics as well as contemporary styles.
Ciot, a natural stone expert, has chosen Brooklyn to house its 35,000-square foot showroom. The space is located at 5302 2nd Avenue. It was formerly a machine manufacturing facility that was built in the mid-1800s. Since then, Bando x Seidel Meersseman, a New York-based interior design firm, has transformed it. The retro-industrial minimalist building houses the Ciot Studio, a workshop that allows clients to commission custom pieces. The Ciot Slab Galleria, where a carefully curated selection of natural stone slabs from the company is displayed as art.
Lalo, a modern children’s brand, has opened its first flagship store at 0 Bond Street in NoHo. Lalo’s products are displayed in an immersive retail environment that resembles a family home. There is a living and dining room as well as a nursing nook table. The display also includes partner brands like Banza, Little Spoon, and Coterie. The flagship is designed for parents who are just starting to shop for children’s space.

Dele Cuona moved into the New York Design Center, 200 Lexington Avenue. A boutique studio space and complete collections will be available for appointments and walk-ins. The brand’s new location features curated accessories, a workspace, and textiles. It will also feature a modern setting that showcases the brand’s latest offerings.
A California lifestyle brand, Jenni Kayne, has opened Jenni Kayne Homes, a flagship store at 125 Greene Street, SoHo. The brand’s products can be viewed in natural rooms, which are equipped with original hardwood floors, brickwork, vintage lighting, British Standard cabinetry, Waterworks fixtures, as well as features such as vintage lighting, British Standard cabinetry, and British Standard cabinetry.
Canadian furniture and home goods retailer EQ3 opened a new flagship store in Winnipeg. The C.F. The new store is located in the C.F. The space also features a Deer + Almond award-winning chef Mandel Hitzer’s in-house restaurant and EQ3’s new concept collection, Palli Home + Company. In addition, three design centers are located in the space, which offers customers and designers one-on-one consultations and access to brand fabrics, finishes, rugs swatches, and 3D visualization software.
